Health Update: Due to COVID-19 South Bay Eco Kids Camp was closed for Summer 2020
but we are back in 2021!

South Bay Eco Kids Nature Camp

Welcome to Award - Winning South Bay Eco Kids!

If you have been looking for a quality nature camp for kids in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, you’ve come to the right place. In fact, you’ve found the ONLY educational nature camp for kids in the South Bay!Camp Huddle

At South Bay Eco Kids, children are immersed in nature while learning why nature is important and what we can all do every day to protect it. Our campers get to do all kinds of fun things, such as:

But with all the activities that we do with the kids, for many of them, the best part is just getting to play outside in nature. And no wonder: with American kids now spending more than 90 percent of their time indoors, many are likely suffering – both mentally and physically – from a lack of exposure to nature.

South Bay Eco Kids sells out early every year, so if you've been looking for a quality nature camp for your kid(s), we recommend registering by mid-March at the latest to secure your space.

What? The only camp in the South Bay area where children get to spend the day playing in, learning about and connecting with nature.

Where? Wilderness Park, 1102 Camino Real, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

Monday - Friday during the weeks of:
June 14 - 18
June 21 - 25
July 5 - 9
July 12 - 16

Full day session: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Morning session: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Afternoon session: 1:00 - 4:00pm

Who? Children ages 6 – 9

At South Bay Eco Kids, we know that children need nature, and that kids who love nature will one day grow up to protect it. We can’t wait to help kids relax and have fun playing in nature. We hope you will come on outside and join us!

Growing Up Green Presentations (Grades K - 5)

When it comes to protecting the environment, no one has more to lose than those who will inherit the planet that we leave behind: our children. We believe that children understand this and want a healthy environment for themselves and the wildlife that they love.Growing Up Green Assembly

The Growing Up Green presentations teach kids about those three cardinal rules of sustainability: reduce, reuse, and recycle. Using the familiar character Flat Stanley, children are taught that the best way to protect our planet is to reduce, reuse and recycle. Kids are empowered to become stewards of the environment not just on tree-planting or beach clean-up days, but every day, for the rest of their lives.

There are a couple of ways that these presentations can be delivered to your students. A presenter from TeachingGreen can be booked to visit the school to teach one or more lessons directly to students. Or, if your school has a docent program, TeachingGreen can train parent volunteers to teach the lessons themselves.

The Green Life: Presentations for Adults

Our Green Life program for adults helps concerned individuals make smart consumer choices and adopt day-to-day behaviors that significantly reduce Adult Presentationone's ecological footprint.

The program covers the topics of Transportation, Food, Home & Garden, Solid Waste and Household Toxics & Hazardous Waste in a series of six presentations.

If you represent a group of folks - a business, church group, fraternity, etc. - interested in learning more about living sustainably, we're happy to help. Whether you're looking for a one-time speaker, want to hear all six presentations, or anything in between, give us a call, and we'll get it on the calendar.
